Ok, I am trying to narrow it down, and I have a couple I really like, so heres my choices, please feel free to comment on them.

Tor-Kul-Na
Q9
Nagrubs x4
Isamu

I really like the Trample Stomp...lol

Cyprien
Sonya
Me-Burq-Sa
4th Mass x4

I like the Vamps with the best ranged squad in the game...

Marcus
Romans x3
4th Mass x2
Me-Burq-Sa
Iskra
Retchets

This one could be pretty good...

Sir Gilbert
4th Mass x3
Kow x3

I know I lose one figure in this setup, but it might be worth it...


Ok those are pretty much my choices...

My vote would be for your Tor-kul-na army and your Roman Soldier army. Q-9 and Tor is just a nasty combo, espically with the abilty to heal ole big head. And the roman army with 4th and marcus is a favorte of mine that is quite competitive with lots of bonding/synergy. Although I would find a way to add in the airborne elite instead of the rechets probably... they are soldiers so they can benefit from marcus' movement bonus and attack bonus if he happens to be adjacent.... but your best bet is to keep him on high ground with your 4th mass... anyway, those would be my picks. :lol:

Jeez, no wonder you seemed... miffed... when my shades took over Tor Kul Na and killed Q9. I didn't know that was a potential tourney army.

I played the Vampire army twice and both times Iskara never got to summon the Rechets. Very frustrating.

As for the Knights/4th Mass army, what if you took out one KoW and put in Sir Denrick?

Well seeing as how I have no wave 3...lol I am gonna think about this for a day or two before I make my final decision...

And as far as denrick, hes only a bonus against huge figures...I dont think thats enough to warrant me taking him.

I'd have to agree, Denerick is too situational. He's great in a draft though, when your opponet drafts a Dragon or a giant.

For your roman army I'd throw in either the Airborne elite or Sgt Drake (RofV). Ive actually killed Q9 w/ drake a couple of times. His thorian ability makes Q9's barrage of ranged attacks totally worthless until they are adjacent, buy then its hopefully too late. Kinda sucks that every tourny army you build you have to ask "can this army kill Q9", but Eh...thats the way it is. :roll:

This is the version of your roman army that I use:

Marcus 100
4th mass x2 140
Romans x2 100
Me-burq-sa 50
Airborne elite or
Sgt Drake 110

could remove me burq sa, then you'd have 80 pts to play with for a 530 army... Raelyn maybe? Or Finn the viking. Could keep marcus w/ your 4th mass and finn w/ your advancing romans...Shield wall bonuses + 1 to attack is nothing to be scoffed at, then when Finn dies his spirit goes on marcus.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought Thorian Speed only works against normal attacks. Q9's Queglix is "special".

Karl, you are exactly correct...Drake doesnt work against special attacks.

oops :shock: ... Glad my Q9 opponents didn't catch that... :lol: Guess I should go RTFC huh!?!?? LOL Sorry. Really though, Q9's strength lies in staying out of melee, and laying down barrage after barrage of long range fire. Tie him up and get a heavey hitter on him, he will go down... he only has 4 life. Cyprien would be perfect if only chilling touch worked on borgs... Maybe use rats to tie him up...standard operating procedure... then smack him with everything ya got till he goes down...

I've heard it mentioned before that Minions would be a decent Q9 killer. I imagine this would work if you can get them close enough. Would depend on the map. On a large open area they'd get mowed down before they can close in.
