I was looking through my heroscape stuff and noticed that the einar imperium, though expensive, is really an excellent squad especially combined with Empress Kiova. I would like to know your opinion on this and my army i made based off them.\

I've never been too impressed with them as a "serious" army although the theme isn't too bad. They are very expensive and pretty fragile (then again I'm used to Minions ) to begin with and you'd have to waste order markers to get Kiova in position since there's no bonding. I really think they should have had bonding with Kiova for their cost.

Ben's played that army before, and Greg, too, I think. Keeping Kiova within aura range of the Imperium is the problem. I think if I were playing that army I would try to use Kiova offensively a bit, but when you've got the choice to send a squad of double-attackers it's difficult to place an OM on her.

I've had similar problems. It's generally been too hard to keep Kiova in a good position. I really like the Einar Imperium, however they have not generally held up well in direct combat. (Although I've seen some good fights put up against Orcs.)
