What don't you understand? Eric was below you, he won, so he takes your spot, while you and everybody below you drop one slot. If Eric had lost against you, no change would have been made. I wasn't there, but from what I'm reading it appears Eric played you first and won, he then had your spot and you and everyone else below you dropped. Eric then challanged Dan and lost, therefor no additional changes were made as a result of that game.

It was my understanding a win only increased your standing by one level.

Either way it appears I got screwed by only wanting to play one ladder game but I didn't realize what happened until after the fact.

Yes, I could understand that too. In a way I like that idea, so everybody isn't trying to challange the #1 guy to get a shortcut to the top, but at the same time, if it were that way, nobody would ever need to challenge anybody more than 1 spot above themselves.

Actually EJ beat Karl, then, after losing to greg, I challenged EJ, and won (barely), then took his newly aquired 2nd place spot... I think thats how it went down anyway.

By the Way... GREAT GAME EJ, that was honestly one of the toughest/funest games I've ever played!

Yes I see that now after re-reading the rules. But I swear that's what I was told today... I just can't remember by who...or if it really happened.

Which is why you can only challenge 5 rungs or 50% (whichever is higher)of the remaining ladder. It's not like Jon can challenge Greg, but is would be possible, to challenge Kyle, and then Greg, assuming that he beat Kyle.

Is there any list anywhere where I could tell who was who on the board. I see the ladder names here, but when I look up the armies they are obviously by username. Heck, I don't even really remember everyones names yet!?! :p
