This is probably incredibly obvious, I know it is something I have thought of doing a thousand times, but didn't know how well or if it would work, but simply stacking similar tiles (7 hex grass, or 3 hex swamp for example) then putting rubber bands around them works very well. I had just been throwing everything in a big crate and as my terrain collection grew I found myself wasting more and more time looking for the correct piece when building a map. Then I sorted it all and tried to place it nicely in the crate but find that as soon as I get the pieces I need to build a map my "system" is messed up enough that i basically have to resort everything before putting it back away anyway. Anyway, just seems to work well for me and wanted to pass that along.

Thanks for posting. I store mine in stacks of like tiles - but I'm really bad about knocking them over. Your rubber band idea should solve that problem!

I don't shop for rubber bands often, but I imagine they'd have to be larger ones and higher quality... any suggestions on where to pick up such a thing?

I just had a cheap bag of the thin ones. They don't have to be too big or heavy duty or anything, after stacking about 10-15 high I just start a new stack.
